I‘VE DREAMT (YOUR) DREAM
I‘VE DREAMT (YOUR) DREAM is an experimental photographic cycle, which connects dreamworld with our usual reality.
The essence of this project is not only to imagine, but also to actually experience another persons dream and transfer it to reality – that‘s the reason, why I created photographic autoportraits.
Recent half-year was dedicated to collecting dreams - from different sources and all kinds of different people. This unique collection gave me the opportunity to choose the dreams, which were the most inspiring and interesting for me, and then recreate them as photographic images.
Because of the essential idea to „live“ another‘s dream, it was advisedly chosen to avoid photomanipulations and montages. The dream-creation process was based on careful planning, preparation, scenography and finding ways, how to reveal the personal narrative of each dreamer in a unique way.

For today, this cycle is consisted from eight dreamlike autoportraits for a reason.

As you know, this symbol represents the concept of infinity. It shows, that I‘VE DREAMT (YOUR) DREAM is a continuous project and all your craziest dreams and creations of subconsciousness are very welcome, so feel free to share!

„I was going through a maze – it was dark, I couldn‘t see where it starts or ends. After a while, I crawled to a door, behind them there was a closet. When I opened it, immensity of nature revealed : there was yellow butterflies in the air and the ground was covered in snakes. I grabbed one of the snakes. It overpowered my mind and soul, I felt strong connection with this wonderful creature. We were smiling for each other, no words were needed. The connection between us was magic.“ – Lina, age : 23.

„Keliavau labirintais – blankiai apšviestais, neturinčiais nei matomos pradžios, nei pabaigos. Po kelių akimirkų dašliaužiau duris, kurias atvėrusi pamačiau vienintelę kambaryje stovinčią spintą. Ją atvėrusi išvydau gamtos didybę : ore kybojo geltonų drugelių gausa, tuo tarpu žemės pagrindą dengė gyvačių sluoksnis. Nedelsdama čiupau vieną iš gyvačių, kuri užvaldė mano mintis ir sielą – nekalbėdama skleidė savo žinią, pajutau glaudų ryšį su ja. Viena kitai šypsojomės ir jautėsi nuostabus, kupinas šilumos, abipusis ryšys.“

„Keliavau labirintais – blankiai apšviestais, neturinčiais nei matomos pradžios, nei pabaigos. Po kelių akimirkų dašliaužiau duris, kurias atvėrusi pamačiau vienintelę kambaryje stovinčią spintą. Ją atvėrusi išvydau gamtos didybę : ore kybojo geltonų drugelių gausa, tuo tarpu žemės pagrindą dengė gyvačių sluoksnis. „I‘ve dreamt a forest with lots of ants. I needed to exterminate them. Somebody told me, that the best way to get rid of them is by using glue. I poured the glue everywhere, where I saw ants. Suddenly, I realised that I‘m doing this, while sitting behind my writing desk. I felt, that I‘m all covered in glue, so I started peeling it – from my hands, from the neck... Then I started peeling glue from my face and realised, that I no longer sense the difference, where the glue ends and my skin begins, so I ripped off half of my face. „Sapnuoju, jog esu miške, kuriame gausu skruzdžių. Man rūpi jas išnaikinti. Kažkas pataria su jomis kovoti klijais. Paklausau. Pilu klijus visur, kur tik matau skruzdžių. Staiga susivokiu, jog tai darau sėdėdamas prie savo rašomojo stalo. Jaučiu, jog visas esu aplipęs klijais, taigi puolu juos laupyti – nuo rankų, kaklo... Tada klijus pradedu lupti nuo veido ir suprantu, jog nebejaučiu ribos, kur baigiasi klijai ir prasideda oda, taigi nusilupu gabalą veido. Išsigandęs pabundu.“
